This summer, Forbes announced the winners of the best ever social media campaigns. It was surprising to see some of the winners, one being the 1996 Hotmail ploy of adding a line to the bottom of all their e-mails promoting themselves as an e-mail provider. Although the decision was split among the judges–David Berkowitz of 360i, Brandon Evans of Mr. Youth and Michael Lebowitz of Big Spaceship–you have to admit it was genius, and early enough in the new world order to totally be worth a mention.
Winners range from the Blair Witch Project to the Evian’s “Roller Babies” to Diageo’s 2006 “Tea-Partay” campaign for Smirnoff.
Who could forget the Cadbury’s drumming Gorilla?
