<p>This summer, Forbes announced the winners of <a title="Best Ever Social Media Campaigns" href="http://bit.ly/dPaeXO" target="_blank">the best ever social media campaigns</a>. It was surprising to see some of the winners, one being the 1996 Hotmail ploy of adding a line to the bottom of all their e-mails promoting themselves as an e-mail provider. Although the decision was split among the judges&#8211;David Berkowitz of <a title="360i Digital marketing agency" href="http://www.360i.com/" target="_blank">360i</a>, Brandon Evans of <a title="Mr. Youth social media agency" href="http://www.mryouth.com/" target="_blank">Mr. Youth</a> and Michael Lebowitz of <a title="Big Spaceship Digital Creative Agency" href="http://www.bigspaceship.com/" target="_blank">Big Spaceship</a>&#8211;you have to admit it was genius, and early enough in the new world order to totally be worth a mention.</p>
<p><a title="Forbes Best-Ever Social Media Campaigns " href="http://bit.ly/b22kPd" target="_blank">Winners</a> range from the <a title="Blair Witch Project" href="http://www.blairwitch.com/" target="_blank">Blair Witch Project</a> to the <a title="Evian's Roller Babies" href="http://bit.ly/daMYQZ" target="_blank">Evian&#8217;s &#8220;Roller Babies&#8221;</a> to Diageo&#8217;s 2006 <a href="http://bit.ly/eTNJJ" target="_blank">&#8220;Tea-Partay&#8221;</a> campaign for Smirnoff.</p>
<p>Who could forget the <a title="Cadbury's drumming gorilla" href="http://bit.ly/c1SVSz" target="_blank">Cadbury&#8217;s drumming Gorilla</a>?</p>
